Loop Light

The brief was to create an area light that hung from the ceiling. While COVID 19 stopped the development of a final version, the prototype was exciting to work on. Using LED light strings attached to a micro controller and power converter in the ceiling the light hangs elegantly from for thin cables without the need for a bulky wiring or other suspension devices. Using the micro controller to manipulate lighting color, intensity and motion enables the user to set the perfect mood in the room with the convenience of a remote control. Modern and sleek, it was meant to be beautiful but not the focal point in the room. Used singly or in an array the circle creates a great pattern from which to design an interior.
